NARROWSBURG — The natural assets of the Upper Delaware River region are an important driver of our local economy.
In the upcoming workshop, learn how tourism actually saves local homeowners money on taxes. Learn how our natural resources support the local economy through tourism spending and the creation of local jobs, how other similar communities leverage their outdoor recreational activities to attract entrepreneurs and new businesses, and how shopping local has a significant ripple effect on the economy.
Learn what you can do to help our community grow sustainably and move toward a bright future. Local residents have two opportunities to attend:
Program presenter Dr. Steve Morse is an economist and the Director of the Hospitality Tourism Program, College of Business at Western Carolina University. Municipal officials, local business owners, local planners, and area residents are strongly encouraged to attend.
Fee is $10 per person; advance registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided. Call (570) 226-3164, 583-1010, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your space.
