Last updated on April 29th, 2019
Eric Egeland, CPCU, AU is a tireless supporter of economic development and startups and formed Capacity Consulting in 1999 to make a difference. Not happy with simply churning out reports, Capacity Consulting gets results that create real long-term value for clients. Eric’s favorite accomplishments of Capacity include helping a school teacher create a $2 million dollar company, helping a 5-year-old company go public, and helping Sullivan County win a casino.
In 2016 Eric formed Capacity Bookkeeping with 23-year-old Rosa Stychek. Not only did this create a life career for Rosa, now partner in charge of people 30 years her senior; but it also provides affordable bookkeeping with free financial consulting to help small businesses succeed.
Most recently Eric formed the National StartUp Association to help entrepreneurs who cannot afford consultants. NSUA provides a do-it-yourself model with education, templates, connections, free consulting, and a database of 16,000+ investors.
Prior to Capacity, Eric worked in the insurance industry earning the prestigious CPCU destination and reaching the level of vice president of a publicly traded company. He was also a certified continuing education instructor and adjunct professor.
A little known fact is that Eric is also an author of Employees, Kids, and Pets – How to Get out of Your Own Way and Be a Better Boss, Manager, and Parent.
