The Town of Mamakating encompasses approximately 100 square miles with an estimated population of 15,000. Mamakating is situated in the southern section of Sullivan County in Southeastern New York strategically located 75 miles from NYC, 94 miles fro Albany, and 79 miles from Scranton, PA. It is easily accessible from the New York State Thruway (Route 17/Future I-86) and Interstate 84.

Mamakating is nestled in the valley of the beautiful Shawangunk Mountain Range that forms the bold ridge separating The Catskills from the Mid-Hudson Valley.
