Pete has been an economic development practitioner since his graduation from the University of Miami in 1976. He initiated his career in New York and from there moved on to assist Monroe Michigan, Pinellas Park Florida, Clearwater Florida and Hampton Virginia with their redevelopment efforts. Most recently he served as President / CEO of Downtown Toledo Inc., a non-profit redevelopment organization in Toledo, Ohio. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of South Florida, Institute of Government Executive Fellows program and has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Redevelopment Association, the Virginia Downtown Development Association, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
